Mothers burned CD wont play

Hi from the Snowy Wastes of Bristol. I think the cold has made me a bit thick. The Times had a podcast on weight loss so I downloaded it for my mother. I first burned the MP3 file using Ashampoo , it seemed fine and played in my DVD player but not on 2 CD burners. I then burned it again using Windows Media with the same result. The blank CD's are not expensive but normally play fine in both CD players. Any ideas ?

Back in the day not finalizing a disc would cause that issue.
So when you burn it are you closing it / finalizing it?
Which is weird because thye are CD burners your trying to read the disk in, eh?
Why not use one of the cd burners?
