Motive Agent Report

newbie here and also pretty new to computer use above very basic stuff. a friend was over showing me a few things and in looking at my list of programs we saw a program listed named "Motive Agent Report". according to him,it was labeled as a microsoft update and had that icon next to it. we don't know what it reallt is. does anyone know if this is a legit microsoft update? or possibly something more ominous from another scource mimicing same? i do have the free lavasoft spyware blocker. use windows xp home sp2. browser is firefox. thanks in advance for any info.
