Mounting Hiren's Boot CD/DVD

Alright I recently discovered a niffty little program but i must be missing something i can't figure out how to make the HBCD iso a bootable cd/dvd i tried to take the iso and dragged and dropped it in daemon tools pro and then burned it tried to boot it from this messed up P.C no luck anyone with some feed back would be great this computer gets the BSOD so im not sure if its viral or hardware yet

Imgburn works well for burning ISO files. Guide: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

Just make sure to choose "Write IMAGE File to disc" option to make it bootable.

 

Thanks for the quick reply it worked but the computer is a "Unmountable boot volume" so the hiren's doesn't help me that much for this computer im pretty sure the HDD is corrupted it asks me to reformat before booting drive C:/

 

Try booting to Hiren's and leaving it at the default Mini_XP option. It should boot to a desktop situation. Then in My Computer right-click your XP drive (Probably C: ?) and then select Properties. Under the Tools tab select Error Checking. Tick both boxes and then Check Now button. When it is finished checking the disk for errors try booting without the Hiren's CD.

 

Alright tried the Error-Check and it seemed to go good up until i click start on the error check and then it just disappears after a few seconds i tried it again same problem but when i opened up properties on the C:/ drive there was no free space or used space don't know if that helps
