Mouse and keyboard problems...

I have recently been having problems with my mouse and keyboard while playing Counter Strike 1.6 (A first person shooter game), and I was wondering if somebody may be able to help me out.

I have a COMPAQ MN:5137 and a Logitech optical mouse(WIRED), and They have been lagging a lot in game..

I have an almost brand new COMPAQ comp with an AMD Sempron 3200+ processor (512 MB RAM), with a 100 GB hard drive.

I am using the ATI control center(picture below), and I was wondering if it could be some of my video settings because I have removed all adware from my computer(just came from the malware removal section ).

I just noticed that this only happens in game.
