Mouse freeze

Having problems with mouse freezing intermittently.

Have changed the mouse, still same.

Thought perhaps it could be another program running processes in the background that causes issue, but PC does not freeze only mouse cursor. If I unplug then plug mouse this 'cures' problem, but fault re-occurs.

Can it be a BIOS or driver issue?

Running XP, latest updates ok, Adobe 6.0, Java 6.0 and Office 2000.

Any help appreciated.... :confused

 

used to have this problem on a pc of mine, reinstalling the driver cured it.

 

Hi, try downloading and installing logitech mouseware 9.79 found here at MG input devices. Worked for me as a replacement for 9.42.
