Mouse instability at startup - win 98

    Hi guys!

    I have an intermittent problem at Start-up with Win 98SE. As drivers load and the Desk top begins to appear on-screen the cursor shoots all over the screen starting up anything it touches, when I touch my Trek Com mouse. I cannot replicate the problem by choice, but it seems to happen more often when I move the mouse during start-up - Any ideas out there please?

    Go to the device manager having booted into Safe Mode and delete the mouse. Reboot. That will reload the mouse drivers and hopefully cure your problem.
