Mouse mysteriously moves!

Heres a tricky one for all you experts out there! Any ideas as to why, when I'm typing say on word or msn messenger, the mouse mysteriously moves up and down the screen??!!!! I move it myself and then it becomes still again. This happens at the most random times and has never happened when I'm typing on the net, say for example, on here!!!

Any ideas???!!!!

Buy a new mouse if it is a big annoyance. However, I have seen bran new Dell's out of the box do the same, so sometimes you can't win.

I have never seen a Logitech or Microsoft mouse do this.

Yep, have had that happen a few times to me on Dell's that I get here. Doesn't move that much, but a few inches it does do once in a blue moon.
