Mouse problems

I run on WINDOWS XP Home Edition, and whenever my computer loads up too much, (WoW alone/City Of Villians alone/ Limewire with the combination of utorrent) my mouse will freeze, but I can still move it. It's hard to explain, like the animation will freeze, but my cursor will go invisible and move around and still be able to move/click but I can't see it. Whenever I go over something that makes the cursor animation change, it changes so its not permanently frozen.

My mouse is a DELL mouse (Says HID Compliant Mouse and HID Compliant Wheel Mouse)

Please help, want to play these games.
