Mouse troubles

My mouse has developed the habit of moving the pointer everywhere expect where I want it to go. For example, when I move the mouse to one side of the screen sometime it decides that it wants to go anywhere but where Iwant it to go,which is as annoying as hell. Can anyone assist me in fixing this problem? I've tried 2 different mouses so far and it does the same thing with each one.

Your computer is saying the vendor is Logitech (vendor id of 0x046d) and the model is a 3 button scrollwheel mouse (product id of 0x3CD) that looks like this

If that isn't the mouse you are using, install a newer version of mouseware and perhaps the setpoint software.

run a scan that will find your outdated drivers and you can download the latest driver.

After having done what you recommended and having fixed something like 100 errors,the problem seems to have been partially fixed. It's not as bad as it was,but it still goes haywire sometimes.
