before I send this mouse back to amazon I would like to try and fix it with somebody's help.

My mouse is a perixx mx-1200 gaming mouse which can be wired in when charging and using the mouse as a wired mouse or used wirelessly (not bluetooth) using a standard usb receiver. It's about 6 months old.

The problem - when I scroll a page (web, xl, anything) the page staggers. So if I scroll downwards it will scroll a few lines upwards instead and visa versa. I have to grab hold of the scroll bar at the side which then works fine.

I've tried using the mouse wired into the usb but it still does the same - so not a connectivity issue. I've tried installing the driver/software package and tried various configuration (no. of lines scrolled per turn of the wheel etc.) but still no change. I've tried turning off the mouse and unplugging the receiver.

I can't think of anything else to try. Amazon have agreed to refund me but if i can get the mouse to work I would be happier because it is a really useful mouse and I like the fact it is rechargeable and can be used with or without wire.

Anyone know what else I can try?

    Help appreciated (as always)

FTR, there is no such thing as a "standard" USB receiver. There are several types of "receivers". If not Bluetooth, then it is some other sort of RF receiver besides Bluetooth. Note Bluetooth is also RF, just very low power (for short range) and within the 2.402 to 2.485 GHz band. There are also IR (infrared) receivers but they are "line of sight" and not typically used for mice or keyboards.

Try another mouse. This could easily be caused by something other than this Perixx mouse. If another mouse works fine, then you can conclude the Perixx (or its driver) is the problem. If the other mouse displays the same symptoms, then it could be your graphics solution, RAM, HD, malware or something else.
