When I mouse over a thread in any Major Geeks forum, Firefox only shows the first line of the post.

Opera v27 shows 3-4 lines of post PLUS (usually) the MG thread number.

To find out the thread number, using Firefox, you have to open the thread adding to your download usage.

Is there any way to get Firefox to show more info when you mouse over an MG thread?

No help here. Just thought I add more support. ;) I'd like to figure out this myself. I dumped IE a long, L O N G time ago in favor of Firefox (and Opera as a secondary browser), and this is one of the very few annoyances I have with FF, maybe the only annoyance.

I'll keep an eye on this thread for sure.... if I knew of an easy way to describe this, I'd start searching the Mozilla forums....

Thanks dlb, for your input. :cool With my lack of experience with Vista and Firefox, I thought it might be some setting somewhere that I had turned off, or hadn't turned on.

As far as I am concerned, this is a deal breaker for Firefox. I like to be able to read more of the post than one line and also, as I keep a database of threads that interest me (or that may be use to others), the inability to read the thread number is more than an inconvenience.

I will be sticking to Opera for this feature but must use Firefox for my email consolidation on gmx.com. As for IE7, I can't get it to upgrade my IE 6 when I am using XP Pro so that is also not an option.

Thanks Mada_Milty and bozz for your assistance. Still using Opera for long titles at the moment. Will try your tips on FF later. :cool Bazza

I use a userstyle darkened version & added a multiple row bookmarks toolbar along w/the add-on: Littlefox & it comes (default) with that added benefit of longer descriptions, while hovering w/mouse. Littlefox is usually updated to work w/the nightlys, too. 2 cents worth, probably several different add-ons will do the same job.:cool
