Movie Compression

I am wanting to burn movies to a 80min 700MB CD-R using my CD burner and play the disc in my DVD player so that I may watch the movie on TV. I am using Nero Ultra Edition 6. So far, so good, but, how would I compress a movie that is 1hr 45min long onto an 80min 700MB CD-R? What software would I need to use?

I am not so sure you can get a whole movie on a CD that will play outside of Windows. The best site for such info is www.videohelp.com.
VCD format is OK, but usually 2 discs
SVCD is Better, but 2 discs
