Movie Editor

Does anyone know of a good, simple, free, movie editor? Something just you can add pics in between frames and such, flash movies, and cut up the movie so you can fit on a a couple cd's. Mayby compress stuff.... Doesn't windows XP come with one? Thanks.

 

Windows does have one. Windows Movie maker... you can update it to Windows Movie Maker 2...

It is quite nice EXCEPT one problem...
It is difficult to save your movie in any format other than WMV (M$ own format)

You can save into an .AVI file, but I did a 7 minute movie with home pics and the . AVI file was 13GB!!

You can save to the WMV format and then convert it using
TMPgenc, which is a great program, it works but takes a VERY LONG time to convert/render...

But the price is right!!

you can find a whole lot of stuff there. unfortunately, if you don't know how to compile, a lot of the stuff will be useless to you.
