moving avatars

can anyone inform me how to make moving avatars?
or a place i can go to find out?

i dont even know what you would call it so i cant look it up online

 

Use a gif file for your avatar. Just make it the right size for the forum. When you find what yoou want you can resize it if necessary. Can't find the link at the moment.

Right click on mine and chose save image as.............change the extention to gif to see how it looks.

 

i opend your avatar in macromedia fireworks 8 and i can flip thru the frames
how do i make frames or whatever

been playing around with fireworks some more
this is just a stupid little try
(been playing KOL this morning, kinda still on the brain)

 

If you have a digital camera that takes a heap of photos in one go you can add them. Get some really funny ones of real people.

Once you have made the avatar all you need to do is resize it to fit the forum.

 

Didn't know you could do things like this with fireworks? Gonna have to give this a try!

Did you use just fireworks or flash as well?

lost my fireworks program.... now im trying to get gimp to work....not really liking......trying paint.net (im looking for free here... ) anyways i cant seem to get paint.net to save my gif file as an animation? anyone got any ideas?

I do animated GIF from movie (avi or mpeg files). It's cool too. All you need is simple converter. I found video_avatar. It looks very easy but do great work. It support all video formats.. And you may choose duration and size of your future avatar!
