Moving Folders creates shortcut

    I don't remember doing anything to change this yet whenever I move a folder now, it creates a shortcut instead of simply moving the file. The answer is obviously in some option change, but I've tried Folder Options with no results, so any ideas are much appreciated.

    All I did was install a new program, a game in particular...

    Just wanted to add, this happens regardless of wether in admin mode or not when moving programs or folders.

    I know Windows defaults fo creating shortcuts when moving executable files, but I've never seen it extend to folders. Not sure how to fix it, but I do have a workaround. If you use the right mouse button when you drag and drop files, you'll get a context menu with options to copy, move, and create shortcuts.

    Just to Back-up 'Da Chicken's response: I've founf that y\using the right-click method avoids many problems.
    (special thanks to 'Adryn..' who exlplaine *why* it was good to get into this habit.
