Hey all. I am trying to rip my CD collection onto an external hard drive. I can use WMP to get track information when I rip the CD. Now I am trying to figure out how to transfer the ripped albums to the external drive. I couldnt find a way to do this from WMP. I can search my HD for windows media files and then move them to the ext. HD from there, but this method is slow and inneficient (I have like 300 CDs to rip).

Could I install a media player on the external HD that will allow me to get track information and rip straight to the ext. HD?

    or

Is there somewhere where the media files are stored where I can find them and move them to the ext HD?

    Can anyone help me out?

    THX

You should be able to set your rip location here:
(click the small arrow below Rip, choose More Options, click the Rip Music Tab)
