moving.....yep, this sucks!

Moving to OKC, OK from Colorado. I hate moving, packing all of it! I'm really moving to what I might call home, but the process just sucks!!!! Enough of my ranting..................

Thank you...it is very familiar territory as I graduated from OU and lived in the area for 10 years!

 

Yep, moving sucks.

My current home I've been at for almost 8 years. That's the longest I ever lived in one city in my 40 years.

 

I'm such a homebody. I've only ever had 2 addresses - my parent's house and here. Moved here when I was 17 and married Eric just over 2 years later. Only thing of my address I had to change was the apartment number.

 

bahh i hate moving too, i miss my old house, i feel like i could just walk through the door now but i cant 'cause i'll be arrested or something
i say you just chain yourself to your front door.

 

Yeah moving can be such a pain, especially if you have lots of stuff (which is why I tend not to be a pack-rat).

 

Way too much stuff, I've made 4 trips to trash dumpsters and like 3 trips to Goodwill. Way, way too much!

 

As someone who's moved many, many times, but continues to collect and pack stuff...only to throw and give things away each time...


...doesn't it feel good though once you've done this? C'mon, be honest!

 

oh yeah, no doubt it does feel good to go a little more streamlined! I'm sure I have to make one more Goodwill trip before I leave! Well, I have to turn in my cable isp equipment today, so I will be gone for a little while, but I'll be back when I can. Thanks Guys!

 

My father is in the military so we move pretty much every 3 or 2 years. The only thing worse than moving every 3 or 2 years is when your friends move every 1 or 2 years; therefore, there is a lacking in continuity in interpersonal relationships. Friends come and go like the passing of the wind.

Moving sucks with all the belongings and emotional baggage you carry. It's horrible, but be thankful that there are worse situations possible.

 

Finally made it, moved out, cleaned, unloaded, and even got 100% of my deposit back (first time for that)!
