i want to find out if i downloaded an important file using firefox. however, i forget the site name, i just remember that it was a .zip. is there any way for me to search my history to see what .zips i downloaded? any help would be appreciated.

also, is there any way for me to obtain deleted history files? if someone can help me here it would be a great help.

If you hit CTRL + J within firefox, it should bring up the most recently downloaded programs.

Then within this, you should be able to right click the download, select properties to find the location.

I think you need to be made aware that if your download history gets too large, downloading can become impossible. I've encountered this many times on the Firefox help forum. It can also become impossible to clear the history in the normal way, in that case you have to delete the downloads.rdf file from your Firefox profile. Save yourself some trouble and don't let it get to that point.
