Mozilla Firefox...is Outlook Express still useable?

Once again I'm going to give Firefox a try. Tried it once before and it just didn't seem to be all that great, for some reason, but everyone keeps talking about it, so I'd like to give it another shot.

My question is, can we still use Outlook Express if we use Firefox? We want to continue using OE if possible, because we purchased a program called Spam Bully that we are very happy with. If it weren't for this, we may consider using Thunderbird for our email client.

Also, do we need to uninstall Internet Explorer if we want to install Firefox? What is the order of doing all this? I may have done it wrong before. Can someone walk me through the steps?

A quick recap:

1. Will OE still work with Firefox?
2. Do I uninstall IE before installing Firefox
3. If I can't use OE, we may consider Avant.

yes, it is a completely seperate piece of software

No. Leave IE as is.

D'oh! One more question: Do I install it for each user on XP, or will it automatically be the default browser.....does my question make sense?
