Mozilla Firefox loading and its only loading...

    I use dialup connection from my mobile fone, i know its not the fasted:-o but sill pages should not load so slowly when ever i open any web page firefox says loading and a circle starts revolving around on that particular tab like this

    I used some teaks and modified my firefox even upgrade it to version 4 but still no use:-o , is there any teak which would allow to load pages quickly like google chrome does:)

    Why don't you try google Chrome. I also have a slow computer but a fast internet connection. Still, I had the same problem with Firefox. Chrome is faster.

    as soon as i disconnect from internet automatically the page loads very quickly but after connecting againg it becomes slow

    i know chrome is faster than mozilla but i like only mozilla firefox:D its the best i ever used, when i had BSNL intenet conneciton of 2MBPS it was the best, but now use tata docomo internet via mobile

    i have an habit of collecting all types of wallpapers of* 1024*768 size still now collected 10,000 wall of all actress, places, bykes, mountains, sexy wallpapers, nude wallpapers, but with such type of page loading i am unable to collect quickly

    with chrome unless the images has loaded fully we can't attempt to save it, but with mozilla we can it starts saving the image later with a download manager of itself

    just somebody tell me wats the tweak to increase the speed of page loading quickly.

    There really is no tweak that you speak of. Either it works for you or it doesn't.

    So you are using your phone to connect your computer to the internet? (just making sure I'm understanding that)

    -Do you have addons installed on Firefox?
    -The more tabs you have running, the slower it's going to be if you have a slow connection.
    -I would suggest you try Pale Moon browser: http://www.palemoon.org/ It looks and runs exactly like FF, but it runs a bit faster.

    Are you on 3G or regular 1x Gprs.
    The regular, I think will offer only 3-5 kBps/24-40kbps.
    Coming down from a 2mbps/250kBps will hurt.
    Even if on 3G, in India they may promise upto 3mbps which is far fetched.
    When traveling I use, Tata Photon+ USB modem which offers upto 3mbps- its never given me the upto speed. Not even in a major metro close to the tower. I'm happy with 256-512kbps when on the move.

    Hi

    What Windows and Serice Pack are you using? (I know its likely XP but would also like to know the SP)

    You can try a few things and the route I would take are the following:

    1. As Laura mentions the more addons you have the slower Firefox (Fx) may get, so it would be best to try this first and start Fx in its Safe Mode

    If Fx works quicker to load the exact same pages you have in your 1st screenshot then start Fx normally and then open up your addons manager and disable them all then restart Fx and see if its quicker, if so then enable one addon at a time and restart Fx, then so on until it starts getting slower.

    BUT personally run it without any addons at all, or just this one in #2 below

    2. Install the Speed DNS adddon Not sure FasterFox works in Fx 4.0 so far as it doesnt come up in my list of compatible addons.

    3. There are some console about:config tweaks you can use like pipelining and disabling TCP/IP v6 to name a few and this page has some info on those HERE, BUT be careful as you can mess up Fx is you do dont follow the instructions to the letter, the ones I would try are

    dom.popup_maximum
    network.dnsCacheEntries
    network.dnsCacheExpiration
    network.dns.disableIPv6
    network.http.pipelining
    network.http.pipelining.maxrequests
    network.http.proxy.pipelining

    DO read the instructions on the page of tweaks I linked too for information on what to do.
