I just downloaded MF this morning and imported my bookmarks from MyIE2. I can't figure out how to click on a bookmark or a link and have it open into a new tabbed window. I've read all through the help topics, but I must be a little dense this morning. Does anyone know if this can be done?

right clicking over chosen bookmark and choosing "open in new tab" works 4 me

    Or, you can do this:

    click on Edit > Preferences

Then, expand the “navigator” listing on the left hand side of the window.

In the sub-directory thingy of “navigator”, click on “tabbed browsing”.

Here, you can configure the tabbed browsing behaviour.

    My choices are:
    ON:
Hide the tab bar when only one tab is open
    ON:
    Load links in the background

And, under the “Open tabs instead of windows for” part,

    ON:
Middle-click, control+click, or control+Enter on links on a web page
(since I have a fancy scroll mouse on my computer).

    :) :p ;)

    @ Grapeape - Thanks, I'll do that.

@ Robster - I don't have "Preferences" listed under my "Edit" button. Anywhere else I can find it? Thanks for the info though. ;)

    Oppsie-Doopsie!
    My bad, Dude!
I've got Mozilla 1.4.1, figured the toolbar would be consistent.

What revision of Firebird/Firefox are you using, my man?

Tools -> Options is the Firefox setup.

I use Tabbrowser Extensions for adjusting all of the tab settings. It works quite well and can be setup for various types of clicks to open new tabs or windows.

MG offers 0.9.1 as their download.

    Okay...
    I'm stupid.
    I admit it.

looks like the Firefox is different.
    On the next page,

    http://www.nidelven-it.no/articles/introduction_to_firefox_3
    it says this:

and, if you can't somehow configure it to open a tab with a middle click with the mouse,
    well,
    that just stinks!

    There must be a way.

but, since I don't know, I will shut up now.
My apologies for stepping on the thread.
