Mozilla Thunderbird Uninstalled Itself Apparently... Suspicious?

I was quite surprised this morning to find my email program has uninstalled itself. I'm annoyed I lost all my emails, but more concerned that maybe some nefarious individuals uninstalled it so I wouldn't get any emails about change requests or something.

I never saw any warning about anything being uninstalled, and it's definitely not in my list of programs. Anyone ever hear of anything uninstalling a program by itself like this? Should I be concerned about malware or some other hacking of some sort?

 

Update: apparently the program is still on machine, it just won't be found by typing it in the windows bar or the like. When I went to go install it again, I decided to check the check the default location it said it was going to install to, which wasn't what I would expect... and strangely thunderbird was there. Still not sure why windows would suddenly stop seeing it, still makes me concerned...

 

Software will never uninstall itself, you wont make money that way!

I use that very same software and have never had that happen. That baffles me as to why it happened at all unless you have some sort of malware that uninstalls things. If it uninstalled itself that means it can think rationally and that is not yet possible, so something happened. I agree with Peplicator on this, it is not possible, or at leastI hope it is not possible...
