MP3 CD Burning software??

What is the best software for burning MP3 CD's???

Just curious what people are using with little or no problems??

I agree with Nero, but for upgraders, try the demo first, its an all in one suite now including DVD burning. I like it still, just a bit different and 99 bucks, 69 download, though our shopping engine usually has it for 12 bucks or more OEM.

Nero works well because you just tell it where the MP3's are and it encodes them and burns them for you. Yes, other tools do this, but Nero is also an excellent all in one burning suite.

I like Music Match Jukebox for all my audio recording needs. I do anything else with Nero though.

In my personal opinion Nero 6 sux big time, version 5 is much better.

How does nero compare with other apps like Adaptec Easy CD creator (i have a really old version that worked well), and Drag 'n Drop CD + DVD? Does nero work good for audio and data?

What makes you say this? The interfaces are nearly identical! AFAICT, only the icons changed.

You didn't actually try to use SmartStart, did you?

Nero is the CD mastering app. Audio, data, S/VCD, it does it all. Try it, it's great!

Just did. Per MA's recommendations I grabbed it from MG's shopping site. 12.99 + 5.00 shipping. Unbelievable bargain!

EasyCD is a nightmare. as is that directCD thing. Used to crash on me all the time. I got Nero 5.0 with my burner, upgraded to 5.5 and at the moment have that. might try using 6 on my other machine see if its any good. But, I dont have a DVD burner, so maybe its not worth the effort upgrading?

If you have XP you could always use that! :/ not saying its any good mind, it was made by Roxio and WinOnCD was god awful!

The sonic foundry CD creator is quite good for making music CDs, but its a bit advanced really.

I use burnatonce. Freeware. You just have to have a little know how on burning programs but it is not too hard to figure out. Does an excellent job without any bloatware whatsoever.

SmartStart???

Hey Chicken, what is SmartStart? A feature of Nero? Sheesh! There's something on Nero we shouldn't use??? (Don't have Nero, so I need to know this stuff!)

EZCD had many compatability problems when it was at Version5, even after updating with many patches some XP machines still were not happy with it.........

I have used EZCD6 on another machine I work with and its OK ( at least it works with no problems now ) BUT I still find Nero6 most enjoyable to use, plus with the plugins it intigrates with WMP9 well for Fast CD burning of tracks.

Well, the nero suite has a number of programs in it:
Nero Burning ROM -- This is the CD/DVD burning part.
Nero Express -- Stupid CD burning wizard thingy for n00bs.
Nero Cover Designer -- Meh. Whateva.
Nero ImageDrive -- Mount images on virtual CD drives.
Nero Soundtracks -- Audio CD production studio. Never used it.
Nero Wave Editor --A Sound file editor.
Nero CD/DVD Speed -- A drive speed tester.
Nero Drivespeed -- Control the sound a drive makes by reducing the max speed.
Nero InfoTool -- Drive info.

Smart Start is like a integrator to the suite. I don't bother with it 'cause all I use is Nero Burning ROM.

No problems with nero 6. It installed and does what it says it will do. On the other hand that worthless easy cd dvd 6 crashed my computer twice. I should of learned my lesson the first time.

After installing easy cd dvd my computer stopped working. it never gave me a chance to get back into xp. I tried all kinds of ways to get back into the system including safe mode. Luckily I had a backup of my system. Thank you Norton Ghost.

My advise stick with Nero its real good.
