Hi all. I've got the Lord Of The Rings BBC audio drama on CD's (13 of them), have ripped them to .mp3, and am trying to create an MP3 disk to take with on trips to play in the car. There are 76 discrete files in the series. Used MusicMatch 8.1 to rip to standard 128 kb/sec files, have gone through the entire set and named them consistently, and have gone into the file properties and assigned them proper track numbers. Am using Nero 6 to burn them back to disk.

No matter what I've done, they will not play in proper order on non-computer CD drives (that DO support .mp3). Wouldn't be a huge problem with music files, but with a long single story, built-in shuffle play is useless. I've burned it as straight data file transfer, and as Nero's "MP3 Disk", and get the same thing. They play, but not in order.

    Am I missing something?

Hi G.T.When preparing mp3"s for burning on to disk that is to be played in a non computer environment you must remember to individually give each mp3 a individual title? So what you should do is to title each track individually. Say you have burnt 200 mp3"You would just title them 1 to 200 they will then be burnt in that order and they will then play back in that order. You may coarse give each mp3 additional information but make sure you a logical sequence otherwise they will not transfer back correctly back on to the cdr as a mp3 file.It might pay you in this instance to use the windows burner with the latest upgrade i posted last month. This i have found to be as good as Nero

The title found in "Properties" as apposed to the file name itself? That's about the only thing I DIDN'T organize. Lot of work, but I'll give that a try as well. Thanks.

Hi G.T. All tracks must have a clear defining separate path IE a1 a2 a3 /b1 b2 b3 ETC and so on.Yes it is tedious and i am no expert but it does work :)
