First thing I thought when I saw this was Audacity, definitely should give it another try as it's used by myself and thousands of others around here.

Haven't experienced the one you linked to but if you prefer it and it works then give it a shot.

i suppose your right mac but,

it took me 20 minutes to import a one hour set which is pretty long (i think)

so if iv gotta import the same set every time so as i can import a five/six minute track

well thats a lot a time ya know

    thanks for reply though

It'll take long on whatever you use, except better programs like Cubase - I can import anything onto that in seconds - because it's free it doesn't have as good a ripping time as the more expensive ones. Converting the music to data takes longer for it to do, also the spec of your machine can play a part here too.

    out of curiousity ,
    if your familar with audacity
do you know is it possible to import one large mp3 chunk and then split it into smaller segments and save them separately

    cheers for help so far

Yup that's possible - save each chunk into a new audacity document.

You want a good 1gb, 2gb if you can, to run music editing - what I've found.

OK, when you start up audacity it opens up a new file for you (document) like in word, paint etc.

That's what I mean if it makes sense???:D
