MP3 player

    Someone just gave me a new mp3 player. It says its an element electronics- digital music/video player 4gb. Anyways its very sensitive to touch screen with blue LED. Anyways the manual says for the radio station volumn to press up arrow, volumn down, anyways I believe when I 1st started it worked.. But now I go to radio and I have to old the (down arrow) to make volumn go up. Anyone have this same thing? Also on the radio anyone know why I get like 1 of the few good channels we get around here? Maybe these mp3 dont have satelite to that radio station? It just blank on those other ones. It also has equalizer I ve been tring to press and nothing.. I thought maybe pressing that f it up but no.. nothing...

    Also I got a small disk with this. I popped it in, open up my computer and double clicked the new folder. And it has bunch of misc things that look like installs of sorts.. and something says cabinet, and another setup icon I clicked it and it installed mp3 utilities.. but I can only click a few.. few gives me errors (probably cause I need to install other icons off the disk.. ) But iam wondering also what this disk is used for anyone know?

    Hi

    On the radio channels, at times depends on how good the arial is inside to what it picks up will, a good quality palyer with good arial will pick up more.


    I dont have that MP3 player, tend to stick to the major players for most tech, and have ipod, which is unsurpassable.

    As it was given to you was it brand new or had been used before? just thinking if a touch screen that some touch screens are not like ipod touches and like some of the Blackberrys and you have to press the icon down, they are not surface touch, but if a 2nd hand one them maybe the touch sensors are broken.

    Cabinate file is like a zip and holds parts of an application, the setup file will once run access the cab file to exract its contents, without having the disk and/or downloading the disks contents from the makers site, I will guess that the contents are drivers and any add-on software the maker supplies.

    If you get errors what are they in full and whats your Windows version as the software on disk may not support your version of windows.
