   I was looking for a Mp3 splitter, free of course & easy to use, so i can split a 6 hour mp3 file into 1 hour files or maybe even smaller files.

   Try downloading Audacity and the install the LAME mp3 encoder from Source Forge.
   
   I often use it to split up mp3 files ripped from CD's into sizes suitable for personal ring tones.
