MP3 to CD doesn't work.

I've tried burning mp3's to CD-RW disks using Window's Media player (I've also tried using 'free mp3 to cd converter and burner') with the exact same results.

When I play the cd-rw disk in my radio it will get through the first five or six songs fine then start to skip all the sudden and act like it forgot where it's at then stops completely and returns to the beginning.

What is going on? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also, does any one know of a music program that works better than Win Media that actually makes songs on a cd-rw disk play ALL the songs w/o skipping on your radio cd player?

I've always found CDburnerXP to be a solid burning program. Give it a try and one tip is to not have too many programs running on your computer when burning discs. Even if you have a powerful computer let it burn the disc without doing too many other tasks at the same time.

 

Personally, I would not be using CD-RW (rewritable) disks for this task.

I've had to throw two CD-R's in the trash because I was unable to erase them (song's skipping, not playing in cd player) that's why I was using a CD-RW.

I've noticed that the drive speed on the blank disk says 12x. When I try to burn music to the disk does the burn speed need to be at 12x or lower also?

I am a complete neophyte when it comes to burning music to cd. You're patience is greatly appreciated!

 

Try burning at 6X or 4X using CD-R's only. Have you tried playing the disks in a different machine?
