Running an AMD Sempron 2GHZ with 768 RAM and an nForce2 NFS7-S2G motherboard.

When playing MP3 or video the sound keeps getting louder and softer on its own. I changed the drivers of the on board audio as well as used an SB Live 5.1.

Its really irritating having the sound change like that. Any suggestions on what I can do? I re-installed Windows XP several times and not sure if its a DirectX 9 issue or some other software.

I have done a step by step debugging, but to no avail.

    HELP!!

    thanks.
