Mpeg4?

Okay does anyone know a excelent AVI/MPEG to MPEG4 Converter? I want to use this so i can put videos on my ipodvideo and i have used some programs and they worked but the sound and video werent correctly lined up.. so does anyone know a good AVI/MPEG to MPEG4 Conveter?

I was wondering if you've been to www.videohelp.com since they have a ton of information working with video files.
