I'm building an MS Access database and i've already put in all my tables and forms but now i'm stuck.

I want to build a search function so that anyone using the database can search for any record they wish.

The majority of the search criteria will be drop down menus e.g. the market menu drops down to reveal 6 continents.

Is it possible to do this without programming knowledge or will i require support from the It department.

    Any help appreciated

    Cheers

Access actually has a wizard just for this purpose. If you were to create a command button, you can assign it the ability to search records. It should be as simple as following the prompts. You would have the drop down menus filled, and then press this search button to find records based on the specifications.
