MS Backup - QIC filesize issue

Set up the generic MS backup program on one of my secondary machines temporarily to get some things packed away, and the 2-gig size limit on the .qic backup files is causing some problems.

The thing chokes on my document and archive folders - they're too big, and it doesn't compress much - to say nothing of the full hard-drive; though I'm not looking to do the whole drive in one swoop, it would be nice to not have to back up my documents, music, and image archives seperately.

Any hints on getting around the .qic size limitation, or is the answer just going to be that we have a better backup utility here on-site somewhere?

    Hi CyrDraconis
Instead of saving one file, it might be useful to create several sub-Folders within your Documents folder and copy or move related files into each of the sub-folders. When doing a backup you can then specify each of the smaller sub-folders as folder1.qic and folder2.qic or more realistically like JPG.qic or DOC.qic. You get the idea. At least you'll have a way to beat that 2Gig barrier.
    Cheers :)
