there is an excel file that i am able to open on the network, but i try not to use it in case there are multiple people trying to access it at once called ECO.xls. We converted this into a webpage that is also posted on the network called Eco.htm. I used to be able to sort/filter data on the htm, the same way i was able to sort/filter in Excel. But when i open the .htm the small doward arrow that would usually appear at the top is no longer there, but it's still showing for the .xls file. Anyone know what i'm doing wrong, or how to get the filter option back on the .htm file?

    Thanks!

How did you convert the Excel doc to HTML - into a table? You cannot do any sorting with a HTML table.

If I had the same problem I would try to embed a read-only copy of the Excel doc into the web page. Search Google for embed excel in web page
