I have recently, ( after 3 years) be getting a " script error" messages when trying to print from the web using MS Explorer 6.0. Now, I cannot print WEB pages which is a pain!!
I have tried several solutions and none have worked. This seemed to have started since I upgraded to Direct X9.0 and or POP UP COP. I am running MS Windows 98se with all the service packs and I am just about ready to give up and upgrade to Windows XP or XP Pro and MS Explorer 8. To do the upgrade seems like a huge step or am I worng here as well?

does the print window come up if you hit CTRL+P or file print or the print icon on the tool bar?

    Kudo thanks for your attention.
What happens is either I can print sometimes from the tool bar and the print command or if not then an error messager box appears stating : "explorer script error, line 93, Char 1, access denied," then the messages points me to window\system\shdoclc.dll /preview.dlg.

even though this is for XP, it migth pertain to you if you have the "surfairy" app installed.

I could not find the file called Divago Surfairy or surfairy and could not RUN c:\program files\surfairy\uninstall.exe as instructed. However, I did clear the " enable third-party brower extensions" as a recommended work around solution. So far it seem to have solved my problem!!! Something odd though is when I executed the run command on the above c:\ ... it came back with an error msg as could not find "Progam" which of course is a major directory in Windows. I expected the run command to fail on "surfairy " if it was not installed.
Thanks for your assistance on this problem so far.

ok, if you disabled 3rd party plug-ins then you have a plugin loaded that is causing problems.. do recall any plugins that you might have installed?

    Kodo,

What is a 'plug-in' exactly and how do I search if I have them? Also, my 12 year old son just discovered KAZAA and I know that freeware generates lots of unwanted stuff . God only knows what he downloaded!!
I do run a spyware remover from Lavasoft every so often.

Thanks again and see no " u " this time!

a plug in is like your flash player or the quicktime viewer etc. They give you extra functionality on any given site that requires that plug in.
You can see what plugins you have installed by going to TOOL.. SETTINGS.. INTERNET OPTIONS.. VIEW OBJECTS.. in there is all the plugins you have.
