Got my call intercepted from a company dba/db-for MS. I was surfing and called a tel# I thought was HP, to get help connecting an Officejet. This company is a fee based computer fix-all outfit, supposedly MS supported
Their man, with my permission, accessed a program in my system that had a seemingly endless list of what I think are all sorts of programs/sub-programs. He kept talking about how some hack or worm or bug or something was in my computer, sending info to various places/sites, and how these whatever's were also stopping programs (from operating?) Next to the program name in the list many, and had "running" and others had "stopped" in a column
I quickly became confused and suspicious, so I terminated the connection.
Anyone hazard a guess as to what this list is? I am not overly concerned about them gaining access to much, I do not keep personal info stored on my system.
    Appreciate all.

It's one of many tech support scams that have no affiliation with Microsoft. Hopefully you terminated the connection before they had a chance to fubar your PC.
