I took a 'phone call about that issue close to 24 hours ago, a reboot and it worked. Not sure what was at fault.

The first times I used Chrome, Google did not recognize the Mothership either.

Is the install you did for W7 or XP?

Don't start on MS idiocy!! It's total idiocy that the manufacturers no longer provide an install disc. Without that, you have to rely on trying to find a Recovery Disc creator to be able to get into the Recovery Console if you need to make repairs. The few that were once online are being shut down due to copyright issues. So many people will be forced to contact the manufacturers and ask for a disc. If MS did a better job of protecting the system files in the first place, this probably wouldn't be an issue!!

Yeah, I could go on with the rant, but suffice it to say, my angst is probably seen in the malware forum on occasion!! MS does a rotten job of protecting their core system files. So malware will continue to be rampant as long as MS never concerns itself with this issue.

When I went to buy my current computer, the first thing I asked the salesman was "do I get an operating system disk?"

    Answer: No

    Question: Why Not?

Answer: don't remember - whatever it was, it was unsatisfactory and insufficient. :banghead

I can think of several other words to describe that policy other than 'idiocy'.

Nothing worse than an 'idiotic' salesperson who doesn't have a clue!

Nice car man, how are the brakes? 'I can't remember, they might be insufficient'.rolleyes:mad
