    Does anyone know of a piece of software that converts MS Money 97 files to recent formats?

    Does MS Money 97 have an Export option or a backup option in its menu? Have you tried opening any files from MS Money 97 in a later version of Money? If so, please explain in detail what you did. How recent a version of Money do you need to go with this?

    It's for my client - he's tried opening the file in Excel 2003 but that doesn't work - comes up with a load of gibberish! And he hasn't got a later version of Money

    Exactly what Money file is your client trying to open in Excel? Exactly what Export or Save As options does Money 97 provide?
