I'm looking at add/remove programs files and notice MS .NET Framework is over 80 megs of space. Do I really need this sitting in my hard drive? What kind of damage would I be doing if I uninstall this program? Would getting on the internet be a problem? Any advice would help?
    Thanks!

Doing some reading on MG I guess it's not a bad thing to have installed. No need to reply if you don't want to.
    Thanks

.NET Framework reduces the vulnerability of applications and computers to security threats. So personally, I would not remove it.

However, you can uninstall it but this requires altering the registry, so only do so if you feel confident in this. This link tells you how.

MS .Net is a needed application for many other 3rd party applications which have been programmed in this language, so its well worth keeping it but also keep it upto date so if any service packs or updates come for it install them.
