so having just bought a new laptop, i was thinking about installing (from disc) Office Ultimate (2007). I bought this as a student package last year so, have got a 2 puter lisence. However, it is currently on 2 machines: desktop, and old laptop. Our old laptop died, so i can't boot it up and uninstall. i was wondering what i need to do to get it loaded legitimately onto the new one.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated :)
    thanks in advance

    Hi

Yes you should be able too in the new PC, however you may just hit licencing activation in which you may need to phone MSFT (if you need to manually activate a phoine number is generally shown to allow you to use in UK iirc its an 0800) and let them know that the old PC died and you couldnt remove Office from that PC, and you need to install Office on a new PC, they will 99.9% of the time disable the old PC and allow you to install and activate Office on the new PC.
