MS OFFICE & Word 13

    Word 13 has been installed. Boy, it looks very different from 2000-03 editions. I will purchase a dummie-style book on it

    BUT also I would like to purchase a book from the 07 or 10 edition of Word to see how the new look was introduced? Which one should I purchase? Will it show me its new beginnings?

    The 'new beginnings' started with Microsoft Office 2007. Two major changes where made:
    1. The ribbon replaced the toolbar(s).
    2. New formats, docx, xlsx and pptx/ppsx where introduced.

    Personally, I would buy a guide for MSO 2013.
    Here's a snapshot of MSO Word 2007.

    This is on the development of the ribbon. Really great look inside MS. There are 10 parts. To see them in a playlist, click on YouTube in the player and then at YouTube search "The Development of Office 2007". You will see the listing for the playlist there.

    Office 2013 is different, but not too hard to master,

    Some history on the ribbon in this video HERE (Jensen is one of the Microsoft UI guys on Office)

    The Dummies guides are really good but you can also watch the free step by step guides HERE from Microsoft under Office training for your PC they go from beginner topics to advanced in all the Office packages.
