MS Outlook 2007 - libxml2.dll

Hi Guys,

One of my customers is having a problem with their outlook. Every so often they receive an error message popup:

"Outlook.exe - Unable to locate component
This application has failed to start because libxml2.dll was not found"

This error message randomly pops up and if the user clicks it about 5 - 6 times the error message goes away and they can use Outlook. They don't have to be using Outlook for the error message to appear, Outlook just has to be open.

I've had a look at the Outlook add-ins and there don't appear to be any 3rd party add-ins.

Tried searching google but not information related to this particular file. Does anyone know what would use this file so I might be able to focus my attention?

User has confirmed that Panda is still installed. Panda is installed on all the user workstations, but it is just one giving problems.

Where does the file live? Is it C:\Windows\System32 ?

 

I'm not sure where it resides, but I think I'd try putting it in C:\Windows\System32. If that doesn't work, you can remove it.

 

Hi,

libxml2.dll is present on the system and is located at C:\Program Files\Panda Software\AVTC

Have checked on another system and they have the same file in the same locatation.
