MS Outlook mailing problems

Sometimes I have a real problem when sending mail containing attachments - to various recipients. I click on "SEND" and it will indicate that mail is being sent, but after a long while it shows a timeout - yet the recipients each receive at least six copies of the particular mail/item.

I have no problem when sending large attached documents, but picture attachments are a different story - any suggestions why this happens? If anyone wants more details re: my IP, etc, please PM me, as I don't want to splash it on an open screen.

Try disabling your anti-virus and sending the attachments, see if it makes a difference.

Thanks - I'll try that - hope it works and that I don't pick up a virus while it's disabled???
