MS Outlook self-quits and Excel is blank!

I can't understand this but if I leave Outlook (NOT Express!) open for a few minutes while I do something else it just closes all on its own and I can't find ANYTHING changed in Options etc. I have scanned with Avast anti-virus, Spybot S&D, CCleaner, Advanced SystemCare 3 Pro, Regcure, SuperAntiSpyware, IOBit Optimize and Registry Mechanic and carried out any advice but the problem persists so I would very much appreciate some advice!

Additionally, MS Excel just opens a blank screen if I double-click on a file and I have absolutely no idea why this is. If I transfer the Excel file to another computer it is fine! Any suggestions?

Thank you for this. I don't have 'detect & repair' although it has been made available in later editions of Office but unfortuantely it hasn't fixed the problem.

The most frustrating problem is that I bought the laptop this year from Tesco and all the Office software was pre-installed so I can't re-install any of it (no CD included)!

Infuriating this as it all worked OK a couple of weeks ago!

 

Have you made any changes to your system in the last couple of weeks including MS updates?

If you have, i would look into removing or changing whatever it may be.
If you havn't made any changes.... have you tried using a restore point?
