I am sure this is going to seem like a dumb question but here it goes...

When you keep emails that have pics and large files does that take up memory from my C: drive?

I have noticed that my hard drive is getting smaller and I think it is because I keep a lot of old emails.

Thought I would ask before I begin deleting and burning stuff to a disk.

    Thanks for your help.

Outlook stores mail in a .pst file, which you can't selectively delete mail with out deleting it from your outlook program it self. So you would just need to delete messages in outlook that contain large pictures and attachments.

If I do that then does that mean my hard drive space will increase?

    Thanks for the quick reply

Yes, it should if you have a large amount of messages with attachments that are taking up that much space.

I do have large attachments, many years worth, I think this is what is slowing down my PC and taking up a lot of space.

    Excellent, thanks again!!!!!!!!!!

Very good at removing a bunch of temp files and junk that builds up, do be carefuly if you rely on saved/stored passwords because it will remove them unless you change the default options.

I have deleted many files, approximately 800 megs but my C: free space only increased marginally. Does anyone know why I did not get 800 megs more after all of my deleting? Did I miss something???????

Did you empty the recycle bin?

Yes, and I ran CC Cleaner.

    Very strange.

Yes I did that one as well, it seemed to take a few minutes before the delete was completed. I ran CC from desktop recycle bin just to make sure. I then re-booted and still no significant space was gained.

I had nothing on the list from the link provided.

I guess there is not much else that can be done. Maybe my outlook storage space was keep somewhere else, maybe on the company's server or something.

I am a bit of an idiot when it comes to computers.

Thanks for your help and patience.
