MS Outlook

i received an e-mail from a German company, they requested a receipt when i opened it. but for some reason it has not been returned.
it stayed in my out box for ages. for some reason when i click on the receipt outlook crashes. after many attempts i finally got it to move into my deleted items folder.
but i cant delete it from there. every time i try to delete it outlook crashes.
i have had this problem since January now and its really bugging me.
i managed to live with it but now its causing me problems again as it has some how managed to work its way up to the top of the list and when ever i go to my deleted folder and select a different e-mail, it crashes.

any ideas????

please help its really frustrating.

is there a way i can empty the deleted files folder without using outlook, as I'm sure this will sort the problem out.

doesnt matter i have sorted it now. i just deleted the .pst file and its all good now
