MS. paint ext.

Hi I am puzzle to find my Paint application is without JPEG ext to save, it appeared only a few ext to choose from the drop box. How can I increase the ext for Paint to have extra ext,is it possible if there is any free utility which can do the work. One more thing I wish to add here is I could not figured out how to find my message posted earlier,can someone please tell me. Thanks.

 

MS Paint is a pretty basic bit of MS and in your case I would get a better program for editing pics if that is what you are using it for. That said if money is a constraint to get something like Paint Shop Pro or similar you can download for free a wonderful pic viewer program called IRFAN. Get it with all its plugins and use it to open whatever you have saved in MS paint and convert using this program. Check this site - its probably got the link in the graphics section

I second Robert's suggestion on Irfanview. Great viewing program, and free. I even use it to view video files instead of Windows Media Player.

 

I also prefere the Save File abilities from Irfanview, but it is possible to get MSPaint to accept JPEG as a possible format:
