I am using MS Publisher 2007 on a PC clone w/ MS Win XP/SP3. I use it to publish a newsletter which goes on a web site.
I finished a story and added (pasted) a picture of a dog I had copied that was an email attachment. I then went on to set up for the next story which I accomplished with no problems. However, when I try to paste a picture of a rainbow I just copied from the internet, I wind up with the dog picture from the :(previous paste.
I tried to copy the rainbow picture to a different location in the newsletter, but had the same results. I then copied the internet rainbow picture to Word, which was successful. But when I copy it to the newsletter from Word, I again get the dog picture.
I've done this newsletter for a few years, and never had this occur.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Skysarge :<(

Click Start>Run and type "clipbrd" no quotes in the box. Does the dog appear in the viewer?

    No, clipboard is empty.

If you do a search for all image files in XP, does the dog show up? Also, if you turn your computer off, this should clear anything in memory. This is kind of a weird problem.

    Tgell -
Shut down, restart and voila I have a rainbow pic pasted successfully to my newsletter.
As for the dog's picture...Like looking for that proverbial needle. Did ascertain that I need to get rid of about 2/3 of the visuals. I have no idea how all the junk that is in there got there, or where it is so I can get rid of it. I'll work on that after I get this current newsletter issue to bed.
Glad the paste problem is solved. I am running up against deadline, and as I am up at 0'dark:30 for work, I have to sign off for today, and get ready for the rack.
Many thanks for your problem solving.
