Sorry. Didn't realise it was old. Apologies to microsoft.
However most 32 bit computer owners won't particularly care whether their os or the movie is technically stopping them from watching hd content.

    Hi

I totally agree with you, to an end user, they dont care.. but sadly microsoft ( that big bad company ) tends to get the blame too often for these things, when they actually want to add as much compatability and options as possible, but anti-trust the MPAA, RIAA and corporations nag them that much its the end user who looses out and they get the blame!

    eg.
Vistas in built firewall was going to be a superbly easy bit of software to use, however corporate america didnt like it and its been neutered, outgoing data blocks are off by default, you can turn it on but adding software to it to be blocked is a nightmare unless your handy with rule based blocking.. which your average user is not, so many will still turn to a 3rd party application like ZoneAlarm etc ( once one is developed to work with it, as at present none do that I know of )

It's an interesting area and I don't know how it is going to pan out but DRM in its current incantation is a ... err... four letter word.
Google seems to believe that having viewers is more valuable than making those viewer pay for viewing. Admittedly then don't own much of this type of content .... yet.
I'm not convinced microsofts view of the future isn't people paying for streamed microsoft content from a microsoft server that will only play on microsoft hardware. (Sony's view seeems similar to me but without the microsoft part.)

Microsoft may do a Pontious Pilot over Drm but the argument that "It wasn't me because they made me do it" doesn't wash with me.

DRM may be the content owners own worst enemy. Imagine how angry voters will be when they are prevented from playing content they have paid for on hardware they currently own.
