That link contains a wealth of information from the Microsoft TechNet archives. It's mainly for older versions of Windows (98/ME/NT/some 2000) and it is scheduled to be removed soon and I'm assuming this means it will be unavailable, completely unavailable, forever. So, if you're using an older OS or older MS product and/or you're looking for some really great tips/tricks/fixes/downloads for and older MS product, check the archive! The full TechNet is still available and will continue to be actively updated for newer software like Vista, XP, Office, etc. Below is a link to the TechNet library; it's full of EXCELLENT info for all things Microsoft and worthy of killing some time there. Also available are the TechNet community, downloads, support, learning center, and much more. Give it a look....

    Hi dlb

I'm hoping not as this source of info is still valuable to many, just pinged a contact at MSFT on this for more info.

Halo, I was there last night, poking around for some info for someone, and it was posted right there in the archives: "Soon to be removed". I have no idea if that's been there for a couple years, or if it's a recent addition, but I thought I'd pass it on in case someone feels compelled to 'borrow' all the info the somehow and put into a PDF/html/chm file for others to use off-line....

(Hey! Maybe I just found a project for myself.... rolleyes :innocent)

EDIT- I just visited the archives again, and I can't seem to find where I saw that it was soon to be removed :confused I know I saw it somewhere last night.... I was going to post a screenshot, but I can't find it again :cry

    HI dlb

Dunno myself as I hadnt seen that page or noticed when it was added, did know that MSDN and TechNet sites have just had an upgrade and new look, so this may have come around this time in a cleanup.

But will let you know what I find out from my email and did also ask if this is true and the archives are to be removed, then will they offer a downloadble ISO of this archive for users that DO still use and troubleshoot these older applications.
