Ms update's won't run

Back again. :-D
I've had to re-install, AGAIN & for some reason unknown to me I can't get any net framework to install, despite the fact I've got framework 2.0 SP1?!? :confused
Plus:
Visual basic '05 & '08
MSXML 4.0 (KB936181)

Base-line security analyzer won't run either.
All I get after DL'ing & running, at the end of installation is an error... (see att.)
Am I missing something...? I guess I am. rolleyes
Can someone shed some light.

 

Check to make sure your running the correct version for your processor, X86 or X64.
Check to make sure your installing the version of the software for your OS.
Check those then post back

I'm running XpPro32bit x86 family (SP2+SP3)
I dunno what's going on, I've never had this problem B4. However, I did run a back-up after re-installing Windows.
Would this have stopped me installing anything?

 

For Net Framework try the procedure in this link: http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/pages/8904493.aspx and also read about it in this 2nd link: http://blogs.msdn.com/astebner/archive/2006/05/30/611355.aspx

Download the tool to remove the existing framework on your machine and reinstall all nework anew.
